From a family heirloom to that lucky find from your hunt for something vintage, Ann Hamilton has been altering, restyling and restoring bridal and evening gowns in NYC since 1991 collaborating with clients to craft their ideal look to wear for a special day.

Questions.

  • Yes, making an appointment for a consultation or fitting is required.

  • Please bring no more than two (2) people with you. Extra points if you let me know in advance :)

  • Depending on my workload I may not be able to take on extra unplanned items, so asking in advance is greatly appreciated.

  • Bringing the shoes you plan to wear for your wedding day or shoes that are the same height is very helpful.

  • Between three to five fittings depending on the complexity of the work that is needed.

  • Most fittings will last around 30 minutes, but can take up to 60 mins. Arriving on time for you’re fitting is greatly appreciated as a late arrival could mean your fitting will have to be shortened so as not to affect other scheduled fittings.

  • Aside from specialty headwear, I only work on pre-existing garments.

  • While I primarily take on vintage work, I may accept more contemporary requests as my schedule allows.

  • For more basic alterations and adjustments such as hemming, pricing starts at $150. For restorative, restyling & alteration work on vintage or antique dresses pricing can start at $300 depending on the complexity of the work required.
